A particularly sharp clashed die

Constantine I, 307/310-337. Follis (Bronze, 22 mm, 3.00 g, 12 h), Rome, 316-317. IMP CONSTA[NTINVS P F] AVG Laureate, draped and cuirassed bust of Constantine I to right. Rev. [SOLI INV-I-]CTO COMITI / R Q Sol, nude but for chlamys, standing front, head to left, raising his right hand in salute and holding globe in his left. RIC 57. Struck from a clashed reverse die and with some flatness, otherwise, good very fine.

This is a particularly impressive example of a clashed die, with the reverse clearly showing Constantine’s silhouette to the left of Sol.
